Day-Care Clinic | ENT & Ophthalmology Speciality Centre
Located in Surat, Gujarat, the Jalaram Hospital is an ongoing day-care speciality clinic for ENT and Ophthalmology, designed as a compact healthcare facility integrating consultation, procedures, surgery, and short-stay recovery within an efficiently organised layout. The project is developed for Vijay Jinwala and spans a built-up area of 768 sq.m.
The facility is planned as a single-level development, with all clinical, diagnostic, surgical, and recovery functions organised on one floor. This arrangement supports efficient movement, simplifies wayfinding, and ensures convenient access between departments, procedure areas, and patient support spaces.
AMRD’s planning approach focuses on clear departmental zoning with shared support services. The clinic is organised with ENT OPDs on one side and Ophthalmology OPDs on the other, each supported by their respective procedure rooms. The central patient zone includes reception and waiting, VIP waiting, and pharmacy, ensuring a smooth and intuitive arrival experience.
The OT complex is positioned toward the rear of the facility and includes three operation theatres, supported by pre- and post-operative recovery, CSSD, doctors’ lounge, and staff lounge. This arrangement ensures that the surgical zone remains functionally separated from outpatient circulation while maintaining efficient access from both speciality departments.
The project demonstrates efficient single-level day-care planning, where outpatient, diagnostic, surgical, and recovery services are organised on the same floor. This integrated arrangement enhances patient privacy, operational efficiency, accessibility, and clinical workflow while eliminating the need for vertical movement between departments.
The result is a compact and functional speciality hospital designed for streamlined outpatient procedures, short-stay surgeries, and comfortable recovery care.
