Comprehensive Cancer Care Centre | Radiation Oncology | Nuclear Medicine | BMT & Surgical Oncology
Located in Udaipur, Rajasthan, the Rayos Comprehensive Cancer Care Center is an ongoing integrated oncology facility designed to bring together radiation therapy, nuclear medicine, bone marrow transplant (BMT), surgical oncology, critical care, diagnostics, and inpatient services within a single coordinated healthcare environment. The project is developed for Dr.Gayatri Singh and is planned as a comprehensive cancer-care destination serving both regional and surrounding populations.
The client’s vision is: “To provide compassionate and comprehensive cancer care—one patient at a time, entire community at all times.” In alignment with this vision, the project aims to ensure that patients can access the full continuum of cancer care—including diagnosis, consultation, advanced imaging, radiation therapy, surgery, intensive care, and specialised treatments—within one facility, eliminating the need for multiple hospital dependencies.
AMRD’s planning approach focuses on creating strong functional integration between high-technology oncology departments while maintaining clear zoning for patient, staff circulation, and technical services. Special emphasis has been placed on the spatial and operational requirements of radiation oncology bunkers, nuclear medicine (PET-CT and Hot Lab), BMT unit, surgical oncology, and critical-care services, ensuring safety, efficiency, and clinical precision.
The facility is designed for a total capacity of 50 beds within a compact built-up area of 4,500sq.m., enabling a highly efficient vertical healthcare model.
The ground floor accommodates high-access clinical services including Emergency with procedure facilities, a general ward, two OPDs with a procedure room, and a pharmacy. This level ensures immediate accessibility for walk-in patients and emergency cases while maintaining smooth patient flow.
The first floor is dedicated to diagnostics and specialist consultations. It includes the Nuclear Medicine Department with PET-CT and Hot Lab, X-ray, and mammography services, along with OPDs for Oncology, Psychiatry, Ophthalmology, ENT, and Gynaecology. This level functions as the primary diagnostic and consultation hub of the facility.
The second floor is dedicated to the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Department, supported by general wards, shared patient rooms, and private rooms. This level is designed to maintain controlled infection environments and specialised patient care protocols required for transplant patients.
The third floor forms the surgical and critical-care core of the hospital, comprising two major OTs, one minor OT, pre- and post-operative recovery areas, CSSD, a nine-bed ICU, Pathology Department, and doctors’ lounge. This level ensures close integration between surgery, diagnostics, and intensive care for critical oncology procedures.
The terrace level accommodates essential support and wellness functions, including building services, kitchen and dining facilities, administration areas, and a yoga room, contributing to both operational efficiency and patient well-being.
Architecturally and functionally, the project is organised as a vertically integrated cancer-care facility, with radiation therapy located in a protected basement zone, high-footfall diagnostic and OPD services on lower floors, specialised BMT and inpatient care in the middle levels, and surgical and critical-care services grouped for efficient clinical coordination.
The Rayos Comprehensive Cancer Care Center is envisioned as a landmark oncology facility for Udaipur, combining Halcyon-based radiation therapy, PET-CT nuclear medicine, BMT services, surgical oncology, and intensive care within a single integrated system, while maintaining a strong focus on compassionate, patient-centric, and community-oriented cancer care.
