Multi Super-Speciality Hospital | Tertiary Healthcare Facility

Located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, the Dr. Rajesh Bhojwala Hospital is an ongoing 170-bed multi super-speciality hospital with a built-up area of approximately 32,500 sq.m. The project is envisioned as a compact yet highly efficient tertiary-care healthcare facility integrating advanced clinical, diagnostic, surgical, and inpatient services within a vertically organised hospital framework.

AMRD’s planning approach focuses on clear functional zoning, vertical stacking of departments, and efficient segregation of emergency, outpatient, diagnostic, critical care, surgical, and inpatient zones, ensuring smooth patient flow and optimal operational efficiency across all levels of the hospital.

The ground floor is designed as the primary public and emergency access level and features a welcoming entrance lobby that establishes a clear arrival experience and intuitive wayfinding. This level integrates the Emergency Department, Radiology Department, basic diagnostic services, reception and waiting areas, pharmacy, café, and essential public circulation and support services. The planning ensures immediate and efficient access to emergency and diagnostic services, significantly reducing patient transfer time and improving response efficiency.

The first floor is dedicated to a structured OPD system with multiple specialty clinics, designed to enable efficient patient movement and coordinated consultation services. It includes consultation rooms, minor procedure rooms, sample collection facilities, pharmacy support, doctor’s lounges, and patient waiting areas. The layout is designed to streamline outpatient flow while maintaining privacy, comfort, and operational efficiency across departments.

The second floor accommodates super-speciality treatment and day-care services, including ICU beds, dialysis services, chemotherapy/day-care units, and endoscopy services with associated pre- and post-procedure recovery areas. This level integrates multiple high-dependency and procedural services into a coordinated clinical environment for efficient patient management.

The third floor combines administrative, academic, and inpatient support functions, including administrative offices, kitchen and dining facilities, seminar and meeting rooms, and general wards. This level supports both hospital operations and internal coordination, creating a balanced environment for management and patient care.

The fourth floor is planned as a flexible expansion zone, intended to accommodate future surgical or support requirements based on operational needs, allowing adaptability in the hospital’s long-term growth strategy.

The fifth floor serves as the primary surgical and critical care hub, housing modular operation theatres, a septic OT, a minor OT, and associated pre- and post-operative recovery areas. It also includes ICU and high-dependency care units, forming a fully integrated surgical ecosystem with dedicated critical care support.

The sixth floor is dedicated to clinical support and hospital services, including CSSD, engineering services, administrative support spaces, and the blood bank, ensuring seamless backend operations for the entire facility.

The seventh and eighth floors are dedicated to inpatient care, comprising general wards, shared rooms, and private rooms. These floors are designed to provide flexible, comfortable, and efficiently supervised long-term patient care environments.

With its vertically integrated planning and highly efficient departmental zoning, the Dr. Rajesh Bhojwala Hospital, Jaipur is envisioned as a next-generation tertiary care institution delivering comprehensive multi-speciality healthcare under one coordinated facility.
