50-Bed Knee & Spine Super-Speciality Hospital | Advanced Orthopaedic Surgery | Navigation-Enabled OTs | Patient-Centred Inpatient Care
Marina Grand Hospital, Surat is planned as a 60-bedded Knee & Spine Super-Speciality Hospitalwith built up area of 4,645 sq.m., offering a range of inpatient accommodation including Suites, Deluxe Rooms, Special Rooms, Semi-Special Rooms and General Wards. The hospital is designed around advanced orthopaedic and spine care, supported by specialised surgical infrastructure, critical care, diagnostics and rehabilitation-oriented patient services.
The hospital is an initiative led by Dr Ashok Suryavanshi, an Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon whose clinical focus includes advanced joint replacement and robotic-assisted orthopaedic surgery. His vision for Marina Grand Hospital was to bring comprehensive orthopaedic super-speciality services - including joint replacement, spine, trauma and arthroscopic care- under one roof, with advanced technology supporting precision-driven surgical treatment.
A defining architectural feature is the grand central atrium at the main entrance, with the principal lifts and staircase positioned directly ahead. This central circulation core divides the hospital into two functional wings, creating clear orientation and efficient movement for patients, visitors and staff throughout the building.
The Ground Floor accommodates Emergency and Radiology in Wing 1, while Administration and Pharmacy are located in Wing 2. The First Floor forms the principal outpatient zone with OPD facilities and a Board Room. On the Second Floor, inpatient wards occupy Wing 1, while the ICU is positioned in Wing 2, allowing controlled separation between general inpatient and critical-care functions.
The upper inpatient levels accommodate a range of private, deluxe and premium patient rooms, designed to provide greater privacy and comfort for longer-stay and postoperative patients. The Fifth Floor forms the principal surgical zone, bringing together 3 Operation Theatres, pre- and post-operative recovery areas, Doctors’ Lounge and a dedicated CSSD, creating close functional relationships between surgery, recovery and sterile services.
A major clinical feature of Marina Grand Hospital is its advanced orthopaedic surgical infrastructure. The OT complex incorporates controlled Class 10 and Class 100 environments and supports advanced orthopaedic navigation systems, reflecting the hospital’s specialised focus on complex knee, joint and spine procedures. A fully equippedCSSD supports sterile processing and efficient clean - dirty workflow within the surgical department.
The overall planning integrates Emergency, Radiology, OPD, Critical Care, Inpatient Care, Advanced Orthopaedic Surgery and Sterile Services within a compact vertical hospital. Marina Grand Hospital thus brings together Dr. Ashok Suryavanshi’s specialised clinical focus and purpose-built healthcare infrastructure, creating an efficient environment centred on advanced knee, spine and orthopaedic super-speciality care.
The hospital started functioning in September 2019 and has since developed into a high-volume orthopaedic centre. At present, it has performed approximately 16,000 Joint Replacement surgeries, including 4,500 Computer-Assisted Knee Joint Replacements, 1,000 Hip Replacements, 900 Knee & Shoulder Arthroscopic Surgeries, and around 2,000 Robotic Surgeries, reflecting its strong clinical experience in advanced orthopaedic procedures.
